Reported injury and fatal crashes. Historical counts are not a current safety rating and do not account for traffic volume. Each county shows up to 1,000 qualifying location groups; smaller counties show the available groups.

About the data and selection method
What the directories include
Source: UC Berkeley SafeTREC TIMS/SWITRS reported injury and fatal crash records for January 1, 2020 through December 31, 2024. Los Angeles County uses the previously supplied export; the other counties were downloaded October 17, 2026. Property-damage-only and unreported crashes are not included.
Each county page explains its record totals, annual counts, location grouping, and exclusions. Intersection groups normalize basic street suffixes and reversed road order within the reported jurisdiction. Defined non-intersection segments use 250-foot offset bands. Groups with geographically dispersed coordinates are excluded. Up to 1,000 compact groups per county are ordered by crash count, with an alphabetical tie-break.
Conservative grouping may omit street-name aliases, nearby events, and records with unusable locations. The directories are evidence resources; they are not roadway surveys or current safety assessments. Conditions may have changed since 2024.
