Los Angeles County · 2026 reporting update

Reported incident

Long Beach police reported a March 11, 2026 vehicle–pedestrian collision near Anaheim Street and Redondo Avenue that later resulted in a man's death.

Questions for an individual claim

A later death requires a careful review of the treatment course and cause-of-death records. Medical causation should not be assumed merely from the passage of time. At the same time, the collision investigation should preserve approach and crossing evidence independently of the later outcome.

Records to organize

  • The collision report, witness contact information and original scene photographs.
  • Available dashcam or nearby surveillance recordings, with timestamps preserved.
  • Vehicle photographs and inspection records relevant to the reported collision.

Preparing for a consultation

Keep a dated account of the collision and preserve the original files rather than editing the only copy of a recording. Organize treatment records, bills, work absences and insurance correspondence. A news report may identify leads, but the underlying records are needed to evaluate an individual claim. The reported severity of another person’s injuries does not establish the value or outcome of your case.
