Los Angeles County · 2026 reporting update
Reported incident
Long Beach police reported a fatal March 11, 2026 collision near West Shoreline Drive and Broadway.
Reporting source: TRAFFIC FATALITY – WEST SHORELINE DRIVE AND BROADWAY.
Questions for an individual claim
The approach to the conflict area should be documented with lane configuration and control devices. Video from adjacent properties may show changes in lane position before impact. A roadway condition becomes a viable civil theory only when evidence connects that particular condition to the collision.
Records to organize
- The collision report, witness contact information and original scene photographs.
- Available dashcam or nearby surveillance recordings, with timestamps preserved.
- Vehicle photographs and inspection records relevant to the reported collision.
Preparing for a consultation
Keep a dated account of the collision and preserve the original files rather than editing the only copy of a recording. Organize treatment records, bills, work absences and insurance correspondence. A news report may identify leads, but the underlying records are needed to evaluate an individual claim. The reported severity of another person’s injuries does not establish the value or outcome of your case.
