Questions for an individual claim

A trail collision requires attention to permitted use, direction and the available space, as well as the vehicles' actual paths. Classification questions should be answered from the machines' specifications. The location on a trail does not itself establish which operator created the conflict or caused particular injuries.

Records to organize

  • The collision report, witness contact information and original scene photographs.
  • Available dashcam or nearby surveillance recordings, with timestamps preserved.
  • Vehicle photographs and inspection records relevant to the reported collision.

Preparing for a consultation

Keep a dated account of the collision and preserve the original files rather than editing the only copy of a recording. Organize treatment records, bills, work absences and insurance correspondence. A news report may identify leads, but the underlying records are needed to evaluate an individual claim. The reported severity of another person’s injuries does not establish the value or outcome of your case.
