Questions for an individual claim

The child's passenger status makes separate claim representation and medical evidence important. For the truck, employment and dispatch records may identify the operator and responsible business. Those records should complement the roadway reconstruction; commercial ownership does not determine which movement caused contact.

Records to organize

  • The collision report, witness contact information and original scene photographs.
  • Available dashcam or nearby surveillance recordings, with timestamps preserved.
  • Vehicle photographs and inspection records relevant to the reported collision.

Preparing for a consultation

Keep a dated account of the collision and preserve the original files rather than editing the only copy of a recording. Organize treatment records, bills, work absences and insurance correspondence. A news report may identify leads, but the underlying records are needed to evaluate an individual claim. The reported severity of another person’s injuries does not establish the value or outcome of your case.
