For a fuel-area incident, record the pump or parking position separately from the retail interior. These are evidence questions, not assertions that a listed branch has unsafe conditions.
Preserve the branch and the timeline
- Keep receipts, order confirmations and the exact branch address.
- Write down the incident time, walking route and precise spot involved.
- Report the incident to a manager and request the report number or a copy if available.
- Save original scene photos, witness contact information and the shoes worn.
- Retain medical records, bills and documentation of work missed.
Describe direct observations separately from assumptions. Photograph the wider route as well as the condition when safe. Do not move merchandise, recreate the fall or delay urgent medical care to collect evidence.
