Questions for an individual claim
Different occupants may have different injury mechanisms and losses even when they share one vehicle. Seating position, restraints and the sequence of contact can help explain those differences. The individual medical evidence should be organized separately from the reconstruction of the road departure.
Records to organize
- The collision report, witness contact information and original scene photographs.
- Available dashcam or nearby surveillance recordings, with timestamps preserved.
- Vehicle photographs and inspection records relevant to the reported collision.
Preparing for a consultation
Keep a dated account of the collision and preserve the original files rather than editing the only copy of a recording. Organize treatment records, bills, work absences and insurance correspondence. A news report may identify leads, but the underlying records are needed to evaluate an individual claim. The reported severity of another person’s injuries does not establish the value or outcome of your case.
